The object of the Community Council shall be to ascertain, co-ordinate and express to the Local Authority and other public authorities, public bodies, private bodies and incorporations the views of the community which it represents about matters for which those bodies are responsible, and to take such action in the interest of the community as appears to members to be reasonable and practical, conforming always to the laws of the United Kingdom. The Council shall be non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion.
